BOSTON, June 28 (Nationwide Times) — A duck boat carrying passengers overturned Saturday near the Charles River in Cambridge, Massachusetts, injuring at least six people and sending the case to Massachusetts State Police, according to Cambridge police.

Cambridge police spokesperson Bob Reardon said the tour boat had 32 people aboard when it turned on its side near a boat ramp on Museum Way by Education Street. Reardon said Cambridge Fire accounted for everyone aboard and that no passengers went into the water.

Police said some of the injuries were minor and two were more serious. Boston EMS separately reported 11 injuries and one serious injury in its response to the scene.

The cause was not immediately clear. One report said the boat was being towed when a tow rope broke, and state police said they would lead the investigation.
